Please Note: While we gladly accept corrections to the NFFG Family Tree (Online Tree and Home Tree) from anyone, where good source information is provided, we are no longer able to add new information to the NFFG Family Tree, except from Members who have a family stake in the accuracy of the information.

If you have reached this page, you are most likely a family researcher. You may have done much research and have many records, notes, and files pertaining to your family genealogy. However, like most of us, you may have some loose ends or brick walls or disputes, which need further assistance. Perhaps the records which you have researched, are found only in your notes, or perhaps only shared with a few cousins or helpers. Or, possibly your family tree is already found at Ancestry.com or Ancestry.ca, with many 'leaves' which are filled in, and yet few or no people seem to visit your family tree pages, and nothing much is happening, despite your searches at ancestry or other search sites. Your information may be buried and very hard to access, even when people are looking for it. Perhaps you send out inquiries, and no one replies. Perhaps you have posted family tree pages online, or on Face Book, and asked for help, but you get few answers, and most of them are incoherent or not relevant to your family. With your family tree posted at the NFFG Online Family Tree, you will be placing it in the midst of one of the most active family research sites. The NFFG Online Family Tree receives over 1000 hits per week, as it is easily found by Google searches. When you are a member, and your family records are found on the NFFG Online Family Tree, and someone seeks your family using Google, they will usually find it at the NFFG Online Family Tree. When they send contact messages or inquiries from one of our family tree pages, we will direct them to you.

Membership in NFFG may be your best answer. Why?

Expanded, ongoing exposure to other family researchers. As a new NFFG Member, the part of your family tree which has been researched by NFFG, will appear online at our NFFG Online Family Tree, at no additional cost to you. The NFFG Online Family Tree appears readily on Google searches, and is not buried inside a cryptic framework, as it is with ancestry.com trees, or other embedded family tree sites. You will be noted as the family researcher in the NFFG footnotes. The NFFG Online Family Tree has over one thousand 'hits' each week, and in the coming days, weeks, or years, someone will find your pages using simple Google searches, and may send messages to us which contribute new records. Such a proces happens every week. This will happen over an extended period of time, over coming months and years, and each time you will be advised, and you will be able to communicate with the senders.

NOTE: If you wish to add more of your family tree to the NFFG Family Tree, beyond the information which is added on behalf of your Membership research, for example to bring your family tree forward to yourself or your children, a favourable member-only hourly rate will be quoted in order to do this. NOTE that with our privacy policy, no information is shown for living persons.

Access to information which is found in our offline NFFG archives and library. Already, some information on your family may be found in the NFFG archives, or in the documents and records which we have on file, but not posted online. This information will be found by NFFG researchers, and added to your chosen ancestral family, when researched upon initiation of your membership. Every attempt will be made to use source records and other high-quality records only.

Free copying of any family files, of our online NFFG Family Tree. You may have noticed that many people have copied information from our online family tree, and placed it in their own files or websites. Such coping is unauthorized, and is piracy. In fact, the files which they copied may have changed, and are no longer accepted by NFFG. This is because NFFG is very active and member-responsive, and changes when new or better information is submitted by members. As a new Member, you have unlimited copy rights, so long as you cite NFFG as the source, on the date of copying, and you may freely change the information, if our source information should change in the future.

Expert Professional Research on your designated family's behalf. You tell us which records you need to find, and we will attempt to find them. We have a high rate of success. We use source records and documents. We will add the records to your branch of the NFFG Online Family Tree, and forward copies to you. The number of hours of research, will determine the level of research which you choose. If you wish, you may purchase additional hours at a future time.

Recognition - An Official NFFG Certificate with a unique ID number, in your name, as a Descendant of a Founding Family (RDF- Registered Descendant of a Founder), or as a Researcher of a Founding Family (RFR - Registered Family Researcher). This features a gold seal with detail of your chosen founder-family. You may, in fact, have more than one founder-ancestor whom you would like to honour, and additional Certificates may be ordered at $25 per certificate, plus postage. All Certificates are mailed by First Class Postal Mail. These are high quality documents, ready for framing.

Levels of Membership in NFFG

Affiliate Membership offers all five of the above benefits, and includes ONE HOUR of professional research time by NFFG researchers. You will be sent time sheets which show how the hours were spent.

Senior Membership offers all five of the above benefits, and includes THREE HOURS of professional research time by NFFG researchers. You will be sent time sheets which show how the hours were spent.

Forensic Membership is the highest level, and offers all five of the above benefits, and includes SIX HOURS of professional research time by NFFG researchers. Our researchers tend to put extra hours into Forensic Membership work. You will be sent time sheets which show how the hours were spent. There are no refunds provided after fees are paid, except for reasons of dire personal emergency, at the discretion of NFFG.

Note about payments for Memberships: you will see below, hot links in blue, where you may click to go to Pay Pal to make payment. If there is any problem with any of these links, or if you prefer to avoid Pay Pal and join by regular postal mail, please send us a message by clicking here.

An Important Tip to New Members who use Pay Pal: when you finally choose a level of membership, make the decision to join, and submit payment, we will receive a notice of your payment from Pay Pal. We will then contact you, within 24 hours. In your first reply to that message from us, please indicate EXACTLY which person or family, from the NFFG online family tree, is connected to your family tree. Include the names and dates. Indicate ALL information of which you are aware, and advise of ANY disputes or controversies may surround the family tree which you are developing with NFFG. (There are a few disputes out there). After this first message from you, following your PayPal payment, we will let you know how to best proceed.

A personal note: we find Pay Pal to be more secure and reliable than our own bank cards and credit cards.

All Pay Pal payments are in U.S. dollars, which is the universal currency at this time.

Once payments are made, work will have begun on your behalf, and there are usually no refunds. Review the information on refunds.

The full Membership and necessary research will be completed upon receipt of your final instalment. If things get worse or you change your mind in the process of making the monthly payments, there can be no refund of previous instalments, as work will have been done on your behalf, but the payments can be suspended and picked up later, at your convenience.
