Some Important Information.

Copyright notice. NFFG, Network of Founding Family Genealogies, Heritage Registry, The Roads Taken, and all compilations, analyses, photographic essays, and other material used in the links and inferences of this family tree (even though some of the individual components of such material may have come from public sources), are registered and copyright NFFG, 1969 - 2005 and later. If you believe that information found at our main database came from copyrighted sources (and not from freely available online and other resources), and is not properly cited, please advise with details, and we will give a citation if appropriate. It is the responsibility of any person who joins NFFG, or who uses any of these materials, to verify that the material is correct as it applies to their own lineage, and to correct any errors which may appear in NFFG files (subject to genealogical verification). All genealogical information is primarily intended to be used by NFFG members, and persons researching a founding family. We request that references to any of these materials or notes or records be properly cited, and an email message should be sent to us, advising of any such citation. Several websites feature information taken indiscriminately from our database - information which has now changed due to incoming research. If you have previously borrowed our information, check back to see if there have been changes.

If you receive or exchange files, images, or data, for your family tree research, you need to beware of fake messages and attachments which can ruin your family files and damage your computer. NFFG has had such problems in the past. We now use The Shield Pro 2007, and recommend it. We are pleased to be able to offer you a $20 rebate for this same protection. Click on the link below to check this offering.

More -Virus Alert. It has become very common for malicious hackers to mimic emails, and even use a sending address which may seem to be well known to you. Our sites and email have been disabled several times. Such a false and dangerous message could appear to come from us! Sometimes these emails, which may contain no message, or a very short greeting which sounds friendly, contain attachments. The attachments when opened, then attach a virus to your computer. This virus may then become attached to all emails which you send out, so that you pass the virus to all of your contacts.

Please do not send an attachment to an email message to us, unless you have advised us that you are doing so. Exercise great caution when sending or opening attachments.

If you have not done so recently, please run a virus scan on your computer. First, download The Shield Pro 2007 from our link above. There are a large number of malicious hackers out there, prowling around the internet.
